Our New Nephew Logan Cade!

Proud Daddy!
Dennis & Uncle Scott

I'm an Aunt!

Wow! What a blessing and what a story! So bummed I don't have a picture of the new mom- Champ Summer!
Monday Summer went to the Dr and was 3cm dilated. Her due date was 4/29. She asked the Dr. how she was 3cm since she hadn't felt anything except mild cramps. Early Tues. Summer awoke to cramps around 4:30am. They kept coming for awhile but weren't too strong, so she sent Dennis to work for an hour. She called OB Triage, and they told her if she could walk & talk through the contractions she should wait since it is her first baby. By the time Dennis got home around 7:30am she said they were getting stronger and thought they should head into the hospital. Dennis sent out a text just before 8am that labor had started and they were going to the hospital & to pray for them. Being the nosey (caring) sister-in-law I am, I called to get more info; I actually heard some of Summer's moaning. I got so emotional I started crying right then! Dennis said they would call once they got to the hospital and knew where she was at. I prayed, cheered and teared up. Claire watched all of this and clapped excitedly! I waited and was so excited to see the next text from Dennis at 8:45a. But, it said He is Here! Sorry to all who missed it!! Which was everyone!
The contractions were very strong in the car. Dennis said he could hear her screaming in the car while he was in the house! By the time they got to the hospital, (rush hour traffic) they barely had time to get her into a delivery room! He was born 9 minutes after getting to the delivery room!!! Dennis said, "She did it Old School. No time for drugs." I am still amazed at my awesome sister in law!! She said it was quite an intense hour!!
Logan was 5 lbs 15oz and 18 inches long. He has cute brown hair. He is nursing well and has a great appetite. We are so blessed!
My mom watched Claire while I was gone to the hospital. This morning I showed her a video of her new cousin. She smiled and waved at him on the camera!
Thank you God for the awesome gift of Life!!

Congrats on becoming an Aunt. I feel for the new mommy though-I had no time for drugs either. She'll get them with the next one though! Hi to your mom again:)
