Mother's Day

What a Blessing to be able to Celebrate Mother's Day this year as a First Time Mommy!
Daddy & Claire got me some pretty roses. My mom got Claire and I matching Swarvoski Crystal Bracelts! Mine says "Claire." Baby Claire tried hers out as a teething toy! My close up pictures of them didn't turn out well! I am hoping to find or maybe create (if its not too expensive) some piece of jewelry to commemorate My 1st Mother's Day. Since Claire & I both have June birthdays, I'm hoping to find something with our birthstones (pearl, alexandrite-which apparently is rare and expensive, and moonstone.) Then someday I'll be able to pass it on to her. Let me know if anyone has any ideas or suggestions or email me. Amandajoykelley@yahoo.com.
Later in the day we visited with Grandma and took Claire in her new baby pool and the big pool for the first time. She LOVES the pool and being in water. Despite a quivering lip and cold body, she hates getting out!

I got the idea for a Mother's Day table cloth that I can add to each year. I included Claire's foot and handprints.

Claire is such a blessing! I am so thankful for my hard working husband! I love staying at home with our little girl. Trust me, I never run out of things to do and am never bored. The two greatest desires of my heart were always to be a wife and a mother- Oh how blessed I am! Thank you Lord!!

Here we visited my Grand-Dad at his nursing home. He enjoyed seeing how big Claire was now and she loved playing with his watch. I love my Singing Willie- Cowboy Grandpa! Update on Claire, she is really trying to talk! She says, Mama, Dada, Baby, and Bella (our cat). She said Baa Baa when she saw a lamb toy and picture in a book. She tries to say Bear as well. Her favorite word is Baby! She lays her head on her toys and says "Ahh Baby". I joke that she mostly says B words!

Also, last weekend she did not want to be put down! I was on the phone & trying to get us ready to visit a friend. She leaned into me and kissed me right on the mouth! I was so surprised and loved it! Sometimes her kisses are with her mouth open, sometimes closed, sometimes wet. She understands "kiss" but is selective with her kisses. She turns her head when she doesn't want to give you one! She is SO fun!
