We spent a good portion of the day playing in the pool! Here, Scott & Claire floating around.

Claire & her Grandma! This year was a special birthday for my mom! We started the day with no water at our house because a water main had broken. Claire & I rushed out of the house to hit the neighborhood parade with my mom. We walked around the park with lots of other people and tried not to sweat too much! Later we went to my mom's house for the rest of the day. We enjoyed her pretty, new kitchen with a spread of food. Then we swam and played with the nieghbor kids, did cake, and presents. Claire was a trooper when we woke her up at 9pm to go see fireworks. We went to the Ajs parking lot at Central & Camelback and had a great view! But we couldn't believe how hot it still was at 9pm! Claire enjoyed the fireworks as much as my mom's flashing necklace. She would look and say "Wow!" A very fun day!

It is hard to believe that Claire is now 13 months old! She is walking a lot, expanding her vocabulary and comprehension daily, and starting to assert HER will. It is so neat seeing her develop in these ways. She now knows what the owl and lion says along with maybe 6 more animals. She continues to learn her body parts as well and is so fun!
