4 Months Old!! & A year ago...

Out to dinner - yes I chopped off my hair!

ClairePlane! The guys are home brewing beer.
It is so hard for me to believe that Claire is 4 months old as of Oct.11th! We went to the Dr. this last week. Claire is 15 lbs 6 oz- that's 85% or so (I can't remember the exact percentiles right now and I'm too lazy to go get the sheet of paper its on.) Also, she is 26in. long which is around the 93%! The Dr. says she is tall and skinny! Um.. when we look at her adorable chunky thighs- we see the Michelin Baby- not a skinny girl. But whatever!

I have been losing my mind researching and comparing jogging strollers! Aahh! If anyone has any advice email me or send me a comment. At first I wanted the baby jogger brand but it is over $300! But the other cheaper one's all have something negative in their reviews- so I feel like I'm driving myself crazy over this decision. Pray 4 Me :)

The Dr. said Claire may be ready for solid foods soon. Not my baby, she's too young and little, I think. So we're watching for those cues and working on putting her in her crib slightly awake so that she can "soothe herself to sleep." This means letting her cry at times- which is difficult for any parent. The Dr. tells me, that Claire will be waking us up until she's 4 years old if she doesn't learn this habit. And she says that the older Claire gets, the harder it is to break bad habits! So pray for us with this too!

Here are some pictures from her 4 month old weekend, including her Grandpa's birthday.
One Year Ago-
2 Little Lines, Our lives changed forever! We found out on Oct.11 last year.

Hi Amanda,

I check the blog regularly and love to see the latest pics! Now's the perfect time for Claire to start soothing herself to sleep. I just wanted to recommend "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" by Marc Weissbluth, M.D. if you haven't already heard of it. This book is great and it helped us a lot with James! We don't care for the "cry it out" method, so we followed his advice with "controlled crying" where you go in periodically to check and console the baby. He also emphasizes timing and soothing. Anyway, I'll be praying for you! Sorry I don't have any advice on a jogging stroller.
